Hotel Norpheling, located near BOB in Babesa, Thimphu, is delighted to invite applications for the position of General Manager. We are seeking a proactive, strategic, and experienced individual to oversee the overall operations of our hotel and lead our team to new heights in guest service, operational excellence, and business growth.

Core Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management
- Plan and implement cost-control strategies across departments
- Ensure monthly financial reports for Rooms, Food & Beverage, and Admin are accurate and aligned with budget goals
- Maximize revenue through innovative sales strategies and yield management
- Track purchases, issues, and receipts in financial registers
2. Operational Oversight
- Monitor daily operations and coordinate between all departments
- Organize regular briefings with Heads of Departments
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, service standards, and hotel policies
- Manage inventories, procurements, and third-party vendor services
3. Staff Leadership
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff
- Assign responsibilities and ensure productivity across all departments
- Evaluate employee performance and conduct regular reviews
- Maintain staff schedules and attendance sheets
4. Marketing and Guest Relations
- Promote hotel services including rooms, banquets, events, and dining
- Build relationships with agencies, vendors, and local clients
- Manage online presence and guest feedback on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and TripAdvisor
- Handle guest complaints with professionalism and provide solutions
5. Facility Management
- Oversee facility maintenance including rooms, plumbing, electrical, kitchen, and outdoor areas
- Conduct inspections to ensure hygiene and safety standards are met
- Supervise cleaning routines in all areas including stores and rooms
6. Recordkeeping and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, sales, income, and expenses
- Ensure daily entries of vouchers and payments into the system
- Monitor utility usage (e.g., water) and manage resources effectively
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (any field)
- Experience: 0 to 2 years (experience in hospitality preferred, but not mandatory)
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Other Requirements: Immediate availability preferred
