How PF Is Calculated

This estimate uses the standard 12% employee contribution and 12% employer contribution. For an EPS-eligible member, 8.33% of pensionable wages—normally capped at ₹15,000—is diverted from the employer share to EPS; the balance remains in EPF.

Last reviewed: September 2026. Calculation basis: EPFO contribution rates.

How to Use

  1. Enter Basic Salary plus DA.
  2. Choose full-wage calculation only when applicable.
  3. Confirm whether the EPS split applies, then calculate.

Important PF Assumptions

The result applies the standard 12% rate and statutory wage ceiling. Certain establishments use 10%, international workers and higher-wage contributions follow different rules, and a fresh member joining above the ceiling may not be an EPS member. Confirm payroll treatment with the employer or EPFO.
