ESI Wage Limit and Important Notes

The normal coverage ceiling is ₹21,000 per month. Employees who cross the limit after a contribution period begins generally continue to be covered until that period ends. Employees with average daily wages up to ₹176 are exempt from the employee share, while the employer share remains payable.
